AGENCY History

  1. d1997 - Walter Jones, founded Fathers Who Care as a brain trust of Congressman Danny K. Davis', Fathers, Families and Public Policy Task Force
  2. 2010 -Fathers Who Care was acknowledged by President Barack Obama and Governor Pat Quinn for being one of the leading agencies in America for addressing the Rights and Responsibilities of Fathers.  We founded and facilitated 10 Annual  Expos for Today's Men, along with hosting the 10 years of Men's Health and Wellness Resource Fairs.  With a minimum of 2500 men a year, we have reached in a 10 year period at a minimum 250,000 thousand men in the State of Illinois.
  3. 2012 - Fathers Who Care and the West Garfield Youth Council were recognized as one of the top Youth Leadership and Development Agencies in the State of Illinois, by the State General Assembly. Fathers Who Care outreach to youth in the City of Chicago has reached  and mentored over 5,000 youth.
